< 18th Korea Science Festival >

□ The 18th Korea Science Festival, hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and jointly
sponsored by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Society and Creativity and the Busan Metropolitan City,
was held at the Exhibition Hall 2 of BEXCO in Busan from Monday, November 3 to Saturday, November 8.

Celebrating its 18th anniversary since it was established in 1997, the Korea Science Festival, which has been
usually held in the summer vacation period, was held in November this year as a sideline event to the ITU
Plenipotentiary Conference 2014.

Joined by 300 organizations including schools, government-funded research institutes and businesses, the event
offered about 410 science experience programs for elementary, middle and high school students, parents, teachers
and the public. To fully benefit from its connection with the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2014, this year's Science
Festival featured various ICT experience programs on drones, the jumping sumo, the sphero ball, etc., making the
event even more meaningful.

Companies in the private sector, including SK Telecom, Hanjin Industries & Construction and the Korea Aerospace
Industries, participated in the event for the first time to launch various experience programs that combine S&T and ICT,
such as smart robots, augmented reality shopping, an aircraft simulator, wearable brainwave game devices, etc.

□ "Software Story (Nov 3)," "Miraculous Lecture Audition (Nov 5)" where teachers and lecturers compete with each
other and prove their teaching skills, "Science and Creativity Reading Contest (Nov 8)" where students develop their
scientific thinking ability and other various lectures, concerts and contests were also held to culminate the event.
