< Hold IoT Showcase and Roadshow > (May 30)
-  Hold showcases in Korea and the UK to support building partnership with overseas businesses.

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Korea Internet & Security Agency will hold the “IoT Showcase” in Seoul and London in an effort to support Korea’s promising IoT companies in making inroads into the UK and European market.
At the “IoT Showcase” to be held on May 29 and 30 in Seoul (InterContinental Seoul Coex), Korea’s IoT companies will exhibit and demonstrate their products and services to about 30 UK ICT companies and officials of the Department for International Trade of the UK. And, the “IoT Showcase London”, held from June 12 to 14, will invite entities in demand for IoT, electronic device distributors, investors and accelerators in the UK and Europe; and match them with local companies for one-one business consultation.
The showcase will be attended by 10 Korean companies dedicated to IoT. These companies were recognized to have high possibilities to enter overseas markets in the expert evaluation of the originality, technology and price competitiveness of their products and services.
The “IoT Showcase” first started in 2015, and this year, the organizers held the domestic and overseas events together, thereby providing participants with more opportunities to have practical cooperation with overseas partners. In particular, the “IoT Showcase Seoul,” co-hosted by the Ministry, UK government and British Embassy in Seoul, is aimed at providing excellent British ICT companies and Korean IoT Businesses with an opportunity to form close partnership.
Director-General Jang Seokyoung of the Internet Convergence Policy Bureau
said, “With high readiness in IoT, Korea and the UK are expected to nurture world leading innovative businesses through active exchange between businesses of the two countries,” adding that “the government will continue to support Korea’s promising IoT companies in overseas expansion.”
