Hold a Roundtable Discussion of Information Security Companies Going Global (March 6)

- MSIT to discuss ways for promoting security industry with companies participating in RSA, USA

The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) held a roundtable discussion of information security companies advancing into overseas markets on the sidelines of “RSA Conference 2019” (hereinafter “RSA”) held in San Francisco, USA on March 5 (local time in the US).

RSA Conference which celebrates its 28th anniversary this year is the largest conference and exhibition in the world in the field of information security, where over 700 businesses and around 50,000 experts and businessmen take part. This year’s event is held under the theme of “BETTER” which refers to our commitment to realize a better future by keeping our digital world safe.

In the meeting, domestic participating and observer companies, relevant organizations and associations shared their experiences of going global, made proposals and discussed ways for successful advancement into overseas markets.

All of the companies which took part in the meeting confirmed that security convergence has gained traction and stressed the need for nurturing cybersecurity talents in the field of ICT convergence such as autonomous vehicles and smart factories. They also provided the feedback that simplified security requirements need to be reflected when discussing standardization by industrial domain.
